Tucker Convertible

Jay, Tucker did not make a convertible. However in recent years several have attempted to make a vehicle that would resemble a Tucker. This includes one fellow who converted his Chevrolet Corvair to resemble a Tucker. I was assured by Designer, Alex Tremulis that no such convertible was built by Tucker Corporation. Alex was working with body number 57 , making changes to it for the 49 Tucker. Although expansion to the line was to be considered for future years, no such projects existed at the time the plant closed. I was a close friend of Alex and his wife Chrissie and we had many interesting conversations through the years.
