Tucker in Hot Rod video from 1955/57

Postby SuperFleye » Tue Feb 19, 2008 8:22 am

Hello, regular reader from Norway here (and owner of one of the Tucker Movie replicas  )!
Just wanted to share this link with you guys. It is a movie from 1955/1957 from the Coachmen Car Show in California. A show called "Norwalk Motorcade" held at Excelsior High School in Norwalk.

Amongst nice kustom cars from Barris, Von Dutch and Ed Roth there is suddenly appearing a silver Tucker :)

Visit the link below, and go to the movie called Part 3:

I highly recommends everyone to take a look at all of the movies!!
Enjoy

Yep, the car appears twice! One time in the middle of the movie, and one time in the end :)

Thanks alot, even though I have been here before, but that was with an old emailaddress that I lost so I had to make a new user.

The car I belive has been posted here before, standing in the snow in Norway. The car is still in bits and pieces waiting for me to start the build.

Here is a picture of it :)

Thanks for posting the link!

Excellent footage of many recognizable Kustoms and Kustomizers of the period!

If you look close, you will catch a third glimpse of the Tucker behind another car. I believe this is Tucker #1009... Perhaps someone can confirm this? Or maybe someone has another idea which Tucker it could be?

SuperFleye, Best of luck with your replica project!

Mr. L'Amoureux recounted his experiences owning Tucker #1009 for Tucker Topics in 1989. He was 16 when he owned it (possibly the youngest Tucker owner ever) and probably lived not far from where this film was made. The color of the car fits the possibility of it being #1009 as well. But the date 1955-1957 might imply that the car had not yet come into the possession of Mr. L'Amoureux at the time of the filming.
