Is there any 1/18 scale Tucker Tin Goose diecasts? If so where can they be found at?

is there any Black or Beige 1/18th scale diecasts? Or are those just 1/24th?

1/18 Tuckers

The best 1/18 scale Tuckers available were made by Kyosho and were available in Black, Red or Blue. These are discontinued models and are hard to find, but they occasionally show up on ebay for around $50.00. Road Signature offered their crude 1/18 Tucker in an off-white color that could pass for Beige. These are available for about $20.00.

Yep, I've also found that the Kyosho Tucker model runs circles around the Road Signatures/Yat Ming version. The level of detail in the Kyosho is amazing. I'm fortunate to have 2 of them, one of which is currently disassembled. There are just a couple of slight inaccuracies on the models, but nothing to be bent out of shape about. These models seem to be harder to find now than they were a couple of years ago, and as I recall they listed in the $75 range.

No, not a restoration, since it was perfect to start with. More of a mold-making endeavor that has been put on hold for a while. I hope I remember how to put it all back together when I'm finally done! I'll probably be missing a few parts by that time...
I had this grandiose plan of making a couple inexpensive body shells of the model so I could chop 'em up, stretch 'em, channel 'em, etc. Things you wouldn't want to do to a nice metal model of some value. You know-- make a Tucker hot rod model where you could state "No real Tuckers (or real Tucker models) were harmed in the making of this model".

Very cool idea. I tried a similar thing when I was about 10 but alas, Spackle was not the appropriate medium for stretching a plastic '67 Chevelle. That was the last time I tried.

Some of the car mags have realized that most of their readers can't afford to do many of the projects they profile in their pages, so they've started sections on how to customize car models.
One would think that they'd promote cheaper projects or push for low-cost technology, but apparently not.
