Tucker #1007

Was just comparing Tucker #1007 to the other Tucker pictures and it looks as though this car has been lowered perhaps by a couple of inches. Did Tuckers come with a variable height suspension or did the owner modify the car?
It looks as though the tires are more in their wheel wells than the others.

I happened on your post and wanted to see if you happened to get any responses off-line, since I didn't see anything but your original post? i ask because I am a Docent at "LeMay - America's Car Museum" and we have Tucker #7 in our permament collection so I am very interested in this particular car. In addition to the many variables of restoration (many suspension units were rebuilt or reengineered all together), and the amount of lead in the body (adding weight), you might read this post to understand the design variances in the 51 cars.
